History
The Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida, Inc. has been sponsoring tennis clinics for youth in Jacksonville for several years. The YTF events in Jacksonville, under the program name of Duval Youth Tennis, are held at the C.T. Brown Tennis Complex.
What We Do
While promoting inclusion and peer-courtesy among the youth, we teach the fundamentals of tennis. Among the most basic skills are grips, footwork, preparation, stroke patterns, and follow-through.
Coach Dave (David Graves) and Coach Bishop (G.D. Jefferson) work with advanced and intermediate players while Coach George (George Boles), Coach Dudley (Dudley Mahout), and Coach Todd (Brent Todd) work with the youngest group on the fundamentals, hand-eye coordination and, games that build skills
We're Growing
In the summer of 2022, our sessions ran on Friday evenings from 6:00- 7:30 PM. With an average of 12 kids per session, peak turnout was 16 youth per session.
Parents are always pleased with the program and we are looking forward to expanding to include high school students. Future sessions will utilize advanced players as assistants.
